Inviting Users
You can invite anyone to join your organization by sending them an email invitation. Invited users receive a link that lets them accept or decline the invitation. Until they accept, their access to the organization is pending.
You must have the inviteUser permission on your organization role to send invitations. If you do not see the invite option, contact your organization administrator.
Sending an invitation
Open organization settings
Navigate to your organization settings from the top navigation or sidebar. Select the Members tab.
Click Invite Member
Click the Invite Member button. An invitation dialog opens.
Enter the email address
Type the email address of the person you want to invite. You can invite one person at a time.
Assign an organization role
Select the organization role you want to assign to this user. The role determines what they can do across your organization once they join.
Send the invitation
Click Send Invite. ActiveSLR sends an email to the address you entered containing a unique invitation link.
You can assign a project role to the invited user after they accept the invitation and you add them to a specific project. Organization roles and project roles are managed separately.
What the invited user sees
The invited user receives an email with a subject line from ActiveSLR containing their invitation link. When they click the link, they are taken to the ActiveSLR invitation page where they can:
- Accept - Creates or signs into their account and joins your organization with the role you assigned.
- Decline - Rejects the invitation. No account is created or affected.
If the invited user does not already have an ActiveSLR account, they are prompted to complete the registration flow (name, password, and email OTP verification) as part of accepting the invitation.
Managing pending invitations
Invitations that have been sent but not yet accepted appear in the Pending Invitations list on the Members tab.
From this list you can:
- Resend - Send the invitation email again if the original was missed or expired.
- Cancel - Revoke the invitation before it is accepted. The invitation link is immediately invalidated.
Invitation links do not expire automatically, but canceling an invitation invalidates the link immediately. If an invitee tries to use a canceled link, they will see an error message.
Removing a member
To remove someone from your organization, go to the Members tab, find the member in the active members list, and click Remove. Removing a member revokes their access to the organization and all its projects immediately.
Removing a member does not delete their screening decisions or data extraction contributions. Their historical work remains in the project, attributed to their account.
