Activity Logs
The activity log gives you a complete audit trail of everything that happens in your organization. Every significant user action is recorded automatically, with timestamps, user email addresses, IP addresses, and action details.
You must have the logs organization permission to view the activity log.
Accessing the activity log
Navigate to Organization Settings → Activity Logs. The log loads with the most recent events at the top.
What is tracked
The activity log records events including:
- Account events - User signup, login, and logout
- Organization events - Member invitations sent, accepted, or declined; member removals; role changes
- Project events - Project creation, settings changes, member additions
- File events - Reference file uploads and deletions
- Screening events - Include and exclude decisions during title/abstract and full-text screening
- Deduplication events - Deduplication runs started and completed
- Data extraction events - Form submissions and edits during data extraction
Each log entry shows the user's email address, their IP address at the time of the action, the type of action, and an ISO timestamp.
Filtering the log
You can filter the log to narrow down events:
- By user - Enter an email address to see only that user's actions.
- By action type - Select a category (for example, "Screening" or "File Upload") to see only events of that type.
- By date range - Set a start and end date to view events within a specific window.
Apply multiple filters together to isolate exactly the events you need.
Use the date range filter to audit activity during a specific review period, or the user filter to investigate actions taken by a specific team member.
Exporting the log
You can export the filtered activity log as a CSV file for offline analysis or compliance records. Click Export at the top of the log view to download the current filtered set.
