Getting Started
ActiveSLR guides you through the full systematic literature review lifecycle. The typical workflow takes you from creating an account and a project, through uploading references and deduplication, to multi-phase screening and data extraction.
Typical workflow
- Create an account - Sign up with your email, verify via OTP, and choose a plan that fits your team size.
- Create a project - Define your review's name, screening type (single or double), and add team members.
- Upload references - Import your literature search results as RIS or NBIB files.
- Run deduplication - Use the Medusa algorithm to find and remove duplicate studies before screening begins.
- Screen titles and abstracts - Include or exclude studies based on their title and abstract, with optional QC or reconciliation.
- Screen full texts - Upload PDFs and make final inclusion decisions with the built-in PDF viewer.
- Extract data - Capture structured data from included studies for synthesis.
Tip
If you are new to systematic literature reviews, work through these guides in order. Each step builds on the previous one.
