Project Management
Project management covers everything that shapes how your systematic literature review is configured and tracked. This section explains how to adjust project settings, define your review protocol, configure your screening team, and generate reports.
What you can configure
A project in ActiveSLR has several layers of configuration:
- Project settings - name, description, screening type, reconciliation rules, and QC percentage
- PICO criteria - the Population, Intervention, Comparator, and Outcome that define your review question
- Exclusion criteria - the ordered list of reasons reviewers use when excluding a study
- Reviewer pools - for double-screening projects, the assignment of reviewers to Pool 1 or Pool 2
- Reports and exports - progress summaries and Excel exports of screening, reconciliation, and extraction data
- PRISMA flow - a diagram summarising the full review process for reporting
Set up your PICO criteria and exclusion criteria before screening begins. Reviewers rely on these during title/abstract and full-text screening, and changing them mid-review can affect consistency.
